ABOUT ME
Why I'm Anonymous — For Now
Revamping After Broken Faith was born from lived experience. I have a story to tell. It is not safe for me to tell it yet.
I am currently navigating my own transition away from everything regarding the Jehovah's Witnesses Organization and working to rebuild my life, my independence, and my financial footing. My circumstances are complicated, and for the time being, publicly revealing my identity could make that process significantly more difficult.
So, for now, I am choosing anonymity.
I want to be transparent about that choice because honesty is one of the principles behind everything I hope to build here. I am not hiding because I am ashamed of this work or because I am unwilling to stand behind it. I am protecting myself while I create the stability that will eventually allow me to stand publicly beside it.
And I hope that day comes soon.
Why I Created Revamping After Broken Faith
Leaving a high-control religious environment can affect almost every part of a person's life.
It can mean rebuilding relationships, identity, community, beliefs, employment, finances, and an understanding of who you are outside the world you once knew.
I know what it feels like to face that rebuilding process.
Revamping After Broken Faith grew from a desire to turn that experience into something meaningful—not only for me, but eventually for others navigating religious trauma, spiritual abuse, institutional betrayal, and life after high-control religion.
I want this to become a place where survivors can find their voices, discover resources, tell their stories when they choose to, and know that they are not alone. No matter what high-control religion they are escaping.
I also believe healing and accountability belong in the same conversation.
Survivors deserve to be heard. Children deserve protection. Every person deserves dignity, autonomy, safety, and fundamental human rights. No religious institution should be exempt from accountability simply because questioning it is uncomfortable.
Where Your Purchase Goes
I also want to be completely transparent about the financial side of this project.
Revamping After Broken Faith is not currently a charity. Purchases from this website are purchases, not charitable donations.
Revenue from the products I create and sell helps pay for printing, materials, packaging, website expenses, payment-processing fees, advocacy work, and the other costs required to operate and grow this project.
It also provides income for me.
At this stage of my life, that matters.
Part of rebuilding after leaving a high-control environment is achieving financial independence. I am building Revamping After Broken Faith both as something I believe in and as honest work that can help me establish that independence.
When you purchase something here, you are buying a product I created and supporting the work behind this project. A portion of what remains after business expenses becomes income that I can use to rebuild my own financial foundation and move toward greater independence.
I don't want to disguise that fact.
I would rather be open about it.
This Is Only the Beginning
My plans for Revamping After Broken Faith extend far beyond postcards.
I envision survivor resources, educational materials, advocacy campaigns, community, storytelling, and projects that challenge institutional harm while helping people rebuild their lives after religious trauma.
And when my circumstances allow me to do so safely and independently, I hope anonymity will no longer be necessary.
Someday, I want to be able to put my own name and face beside this work.
Until then, I am building carefully.
One product at a time.
One conversation at a time.
One step toward independence at a time.
And hopefully, one day, alongside many other people who are revamping their lives after broken faith.
Thank you for being here at the beginning.
